Is Devil May Cry 5 kid friendly? ›

Blood and Language

There is blood, but no gore. As a parent of a 14 and 13 year old I personally think that this game is fine for if you're 13 or older.

Also because Dante and most enemies bleed blood by the gallon, and the brutal fatality scenes. No-one bleeds THAT much, apart from in the cutscenes. When they bleed in-game, it's not really that noticeable. There are worse games out there than DMC in terms of blood/gore.

Characters are stabbed and shot multiple times, in cutscenes and in game. Blood is frequently shown. Some demons can be shown consuming blood.

North American censorship

The scene that shows Trish nude while you are carrying her was modified for the PlayStation 5 release. In the PlayStation version, bright purple lights covers her butt.

Rated M for Mature

It's rated M for a reason. The violence is probably the most obvious. Bloody, gory, and over the top like a lot of other games. There is graphic nudity, mostly of women.

In Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, Sin Devil Trigger is one of Vergil's starting abilities. Transforming him into True Devil, it increases his speed, attack power, and defense, as well as recovers his vitality. Unlike the boss character, player Vergil cannot fly in SDT.

The Devil May Cry series shows an aptitude for tragedy, horror, and comedy in equal measure. While future Devil May Cry titles shouldn't give up on this variation, they can take notes from Devil May Cry 5's horror elements, building upon the formula.

When focusing on the main objectives, Devil May Cry 5 is about 11 Hours in length. If you're a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 71½ Hours to obtain 100% completion.

However there is quite a bit of swearing but it definitely doesn't bypass what kids hear at school. If your child is mature to hear a few swear words than it should be alright. To sum up Farcry 5 is an incredible game and I highly recommend it to any kid 13+.

This stronger content is likely to shock and disturb younger audiences, particularly the scenes of cruelty. Repetitive bloody violence also has a risk of inuring younger players towards violence. As a result, Far Cry 6 is restricted to people aged 16 years and over.

Violence & Scariness

As with past Devil May Cry games, this fourth title is violent and bloody as Nero and Dante hack and slash with swords and use guns to shoot baddies.
