Ashley Duffus, senior communication major, makes sure to take a sip before heading to her next class to beat the heat.
The sun is beaming over demonland with temperatures as high as 107 degrees Fahrenheit, and students here at Northwestern State University of Louisiana are not feeling very fun in the sun.
“I hate it. It’s too hot, sweat. I don’t like to sweat. It’s just a lot. Too hot,” Nyaishya, junior psychology major, said.
While some of our demon friends are no strangers to the heat, staying inside is in almost everyone’s to do list.
“In these extreme temperatures it can be hard to be productive and stay motivated, but the students are determined to beat the heat,” Michan Lacey, reporter, said.
Jessica, a sophom*ore psychology, shares a few shady tips to help demons stay cool this semester.
“Keep water. I always have a water bottle in my backpack,” Jessica said. “You can have a portable fan, it doesn’t have to be big, just a little mini one, and you can bring an umbrella.”
Students should try to catch as much shade as possible and remember to drink plenty of fluids and stay cool.
