SummerSlam 2024 isn't until August 3, yet much of what is currently unfolding on WWE TV is bound to have a significant impact on the card for the summer staple.

The company continues to ride a massive wave of momentum following the events of WrestleMania 40. Despite the draft having little effect on the SmackDown and Raw rosters, WWE hit a home run with Backlash in Lyon, France and has several international events on the horizon.

The King and Queen of the Ring tournaments have dominated both brands in recent weeks, and there are still the Money in the Bank ladder matches for fans to look forward to on July 6. Before then, Clash at the Castle in Glasgow, Scotland on June 15 is sure to be a spectacle.

Along with championships changing hands, several absent stars could resurface at any point between now and The Biggest Party of the Summer. Plus, factions could crumble and more talent could transition from face to heel and vice versa.

In short, the possibilities for WWE's 2024 summer season are endless.

These five predictions would ensure that the road to SummerSlam is as compelling as possible.

Drew McIntyre Regains World Heavyweight Championship at Clash at the Castle

1 of 5

Although his greater focus is on exacting revenge on CM Punk, Drew McIntyre still has his sights set on regaining the World Heavyweight Championship.

He made his intentions quite clear upon confronting current champ Damian Priest, who agreed to his challenge. As of this writing, the match has yet to be made official for King and Queen of the Ring on May 25.

With five matches already announced for the pay-per-view, Priest vs. McIntyre could be saved for Clash at the Castle on June 15 in the challenger's home nation. That would give the Scot home-field advantage and make for an electric atmosphere if he won.

McIntyre has been one of Raw's MVPs for the last eight moths and deserves an actual run with the prestigious prize. His last stint was cut short at WrestleMania 40 when he was attacked by Punk and cashed in on by Priest, who was Mr. Money in the Bank.

Priest has played his role perfectly as champion, but McIntyre should be holding the gold ahead of his looming clash with Punk, ideally at SummerSlam. A Clash at the Castle victory would also give him the moment he was robbed of at the previous installment in Cardiff, Wales two years ago.

Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley Break Away from Judgment Day

2 of 5

If Priest's days as world heavyweight champion are numbered, the end of his reign must be executed properly. The best way to do that would be to have the rest of The Judgment Day inadvertently—or perhaps intentionally—cost him the title.

Tension has been teased within the group's ranks for weeks. Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh factored into the finish of Priest's title defense against Jey Uso and aided him to victory, leading to The Archer of Infamy rejecting their assistance afterward.

They've since patched up their differences, but Priest's exit from the stable is inevitable. It's more a question of whether he'll make the decision to leave or if they'll attempt to betray him first.

Whether it's at King and Queen of the Ring or Clash at the Castle, Priest dropping the belt should immediately segue into him solidifying his split from the faction—followed by Rhea Ripley.

The Eradicator has been out injured since the Raw after WrestleMania and is expected to resume her rivalry with Liv Morgan once she's ready to return.

If Morgan is a full-fledged heel by then, Ripley should also branch out on her own and embrace the audience as a babyface.

The Judgment Day can continue to exist without them, albeit with a much shorter shelf life.

Your Money in the Bank Winners Will Be...

3 of 5

The King and Queen of the Ring winners for 2024 will soon be certain, but predicting this year's Money in the Bank victors for the men and women is a much harder task.

Given the depth of the current SmackDown and Raw rosters right now, there's a handful of stars who could clinch the briefcases at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on July 6.

He came close last year, so it would only be appropriate for LA Knight to finally become Mr. Money in the Bank in 2024. It's unknown if he'll win the United States Championship to capitalize on his current momentum before the end of the summer, but securing that contract for a future world title shot would be even better.

Of course, that's under the impression he'd eventually cash in successfully and win a world title.

As for Ms. Money in the Bank, Tiffany Stratton fits the bill to a tee. She was unsuccessful in unseating Bayley as WWE women's champion at Backlash, but seeing as how she wasn't pinned in that Triple Threat, their rivalry can be revisited via a MITB cash-in.

Both Knight and Stratton have bright futures ahead of them and would be worthy recipients of the briefcases.

Liv Morgan and Chad Gable Cement Heel Turns by Winning Gold

4 of 5

Liv Morgan and Chad Gable going rogue recently on Raw has been the best thing to happen to their respective characters in ages.

Morgan has been booked as a stepping stone for the better part of the past two years and has yet to have a real moment of her own. She ws SmackDown women's champion for three months in 2022, but even that was overshadowed by subpar booking and whatever WWE was trying to do with Ronda Rousey at that time.

The former Ms. Money in the Bank will get one more crack at Becky Lynch's Women's World Championship at King and Queen of the Ring, and that should be where she cheats, captures the title and cements her heel turn ahead of the looming feud with the returning Rhea Ripley.

Gable finds himself in a similar spot at the event. He'll be getting yet another opportunity at the Intercontinental Championship, and another loss would do significant damage to whatever credibility he has left.

Both should leave Saudi Arabia with gold in their grasp—and in nefarious fashion—to establish themselves as hated heels and put the likes of Lynch and Sami Zayn back in chase mode to kick off the summer season.

The Usos Reunite and Join Forces with Jacob Fatu

5 of 5

The bad blood that's been brewing within The Bloodline since WrestleMania 40 is guaranteed to escalate even further as the summer progresses.

It seems there's a new development in the saga every week on SmackDown now that Solo Sikoa is calling the shots and Paul Heyman has been forced to fall in line.

Former IWGP heavyweight tag team champions Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa have been recruited into their ranks and should run roughshod over the roster on the blue brand in the remainder of the summer.

One of Sikoa's first acts as the interim Tribal Chief was exiling Jimmy Uso, who has not been seen since the post-WrestleMania SmackDown. It's safe to assume that when we see Jimmy next, it'll be alongside his brother Jey after they make amends.

The Usos reuniting will be a nice boost to the tag team division, but not as big as Jacob Fatu will be to the overall roster once he debuts. To avoid making The Bloodline overcrowded, he should join Jey and Jimmy to combat the Sikoa-led stable.

Roman Reigns may not be back until SummerSlam itself, so while it won't be revealed where his allegiance lies until closer to that event, how WWE intends to factor The Usos and Fatu into the storyline in the coming months will be fascinating to follow.
